Huck shawls in Castlemilk Moorit/Shetland.

This project was another commission for Rebecca at https://www.chocflock.com/ using her Castlemilk Moorit/Shetland yarn.

The brief for this fabric was to create a series of shawls with the added detail of a block of huck weave to create texture and interest. The colour palette from the Sufo Wrap project was kept to retain a theme and continuity in the fabrics. The gorgeous checked fabric was interspersed with blocks of huck weave which gives an open, lacy effect to the cloth which is easy to weave but counting the numbers of threads both in colour and pattern is crucial and makes the weaving process quite intense.
